WILLISTON, S.C. - Mr. Albert Baxley, Sr., entered eternal rest on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, S.C. Homegoing celebration will be conducted on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 2:30 p.m., at Thankful Grove Baptist Church, Windsor, S.C., with Reverend Freddie L. Bush and Reverend Joseph Williams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Creola Baxley; two sons, Albert Baxley, Jr., and Roderick (Leather) Baxley; two daughters, Jackie and Jessica Baxley; five brothers, David (Hattie Mae) Baxley, Isaac (Louise) Baxley, Benny (Ruby) Bates, Willie James (Ethel Mae) Bates, and Milledge (Estelle) Bates; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
