AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Joe Schulken, 60, husband of Mrs. Wanda Schulken of Carpenter Ave., Hephzibah, entered into rest Monday, November 24, 2008, at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Robert Austin officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Schulken was a native of Aiken but had made Hephzibah his home for most of his life. He had worked at Augusta Regional Airport in Vehicle Maintenance and was of the Baptist faith. He was a great grandfather who loved his grandchildren. Survivors in addition to his wife include his daughter and son in law, Lisa and Leonard James of Thomson, GA and daughter, Deborah Schulken of Augusta; grandchildren, Brittney Schulken, Kayla James and Joseph Kennedy; five sisters and one brother. Pallbearers will be, Leonard James, Charles Waters, Bob Myers and J.R. McGee. The family will receive friends this Wednesday November 26, 2008 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
