THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Belle "Mama Belle" Braswell, 82, of Jackson Street, Thomson, Ga., entered into rest November 24, 2008 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Powell Baptist Church with Revs. Jim Martin and Randall Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Greene, James Prince, David Williams, Hal Hobbs, Steve McGahee, and Gerald Heath. Mrs. Braswell was born in Columbia County and was the daughter of the late Walter Jones and the late Marie Jones. She was retired as a bookkeeper from General Tire and was member of Powell Baptist Church. Survivors include: daughters, Gayle Francis and Vickie Crawford both of Thomson, Ga.; sisters, Eleanor Blazer, Augusta, Ga., Mary McGahee, Dearing, Ga., Lily Gay and Margueritte Williams, both of Augusta, Ga.; grandchildren, Esther Hobbs (Hal) and Shane Taylor (Nikki); great-grandchildren, Amber Greene (Adam), Caitlin Wells, Braxton Taylor, Gage Taylor, and Gavin Taylor.
