MARTINEZ, Ga. - Placed into the hand of God on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at University Hospital, Susan Montgomery Brown, 55, a precious and sweet person, and wife of 35 years to Lance T. Brown. Susan was raised in Lynchburg, VA, married there, lived in Tennessee, Texas, New York, South Carolina and has resided in the Martinez area for the last 19 years. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Lynchburg. Family members in addition to her husband include her son: Matthew Brown and wife Carolyn; mother: Joan Lindsey Montgomery of Williamsburg, VA; brother: Stephen H. Montgomery and wife Margaret of Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren: Kerry Brown, Matthew Brown, Jr., Lindsay Brown, Sarah Brown; father-in-law: Larry R. Brown of Ballston Lake, NY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Thomas Poteet and Son Chapel with Rev. Joanna Pence and Rev. Donnie Rogers officiating. The interment will be held in Maple Hills Cemetery in Bluefield, VA on Friday, November 28, 2008.
