AIKEN, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta G. McKevie, 88, of 414 Sumter Street NE, Aiken, S.C., will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Ashley Grove Baptist Church, Aiken, with the Rev. Anthony Q. Miller, Pastor and Rev. Bethina Williamson, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Alberta McKevie was preceded in death by her husband, James E. McKevie; son, Jerome McKevie; daughters, Shirlena McKevie-Bush, Classie McKevie, Shirley McKevie- Seawright, and Janie Ruth McKevie Jenkins. She leaves to mourn her passing: her daughters, Deloris Johnson, Rev. Bethina Williamson, and Candy McKevie, all of Aiken, Evangelist Jacqueline (Randolph) Harris, Augusta, Gloria Tucker, Charleston, S.C., and Annie Jean Jefferson, N.Y.; sons, James E. McKevie, Sammy McKevie, Dennis McKevie, all of Aiken, and Roosevelt McKevie, N.Y. Friends may call at the residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home beginning 3 p.m. Tuesday.
