Welcome S. Holloway (APPLING, Ga.)

APPLING, Ga. - Mr. Welcome S. Holloway, Sr. 83 of Eubank Dr. Appling died Mon., Nov. 24, 2008 at Doctor's Hospital, Augusta. Funeral services will be held Wed. Nov. 26, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Double Branches Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Holloway, son of the late Joe M. and Lillian Burgess Holloway was born in Lincoln County but had lived in Columbia County for the past 50 years. He was a retired park ranger at Wildwood Park and a member of Double Branches Baptist Church. His sisters, Maudine Tankersley and Lilly Higginbotham, preceded him in death. Survivors include sons, Tim Holloway and wife, Shannon of Evans, Emory Holloway and wife, Kim of Appling, David Holloway and wife, Pam of Summerville, SC; daughters, Judy Russell and husband, Jeff of Martinez and Angie Hogan and husband, Duane of Evans; brothers, J.M. Holloway, Lincolnton, Joel Holloway, Cleveland, Ga., and Henry Holloway, Lincolnton; sisters, L.G. Goolsby, Joanne Winn, and Jeannette Moragne, all of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren.
