Augusta area sports fans are aware of Ken Whisenhunt's abilities and record. (Repubs like it and Dems have wealth envy). Nobody else cares. Congrats KW
We knew Ken Whisenhunt would be good. But nobody knew how good.
The Augusta native and second-year head coach of the Arizona Cardinals has the woeful franchise off to one of the best starts in its history (7-4), with a four-game lead in its division with five games to play. Whisenhunt's start is the best for a Cardinals coach since -- get this -- the 1920s!
The franchise has never been to a Super Bowl, and has hardly been to the playoffs: just once in the past 10 years and only twice in 24 years. The Cardinals have won one playoff game since 1947, haven't hosted one since then, and have had only one winning record since moving from St. Louis 20 years ago. Yet, in just his first year, the former Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive coordinator guided the Cardinals to an 8-8 record last year. This year figures to be even better. It should be historic.
Whisenhunt is changing the culture in Arizona. It just shows you what one man can do. Well, one man from Augusta.

The Steelers will regret not making him their head coach.
I played baseball with Whiz at The Academy. Very smart guy and always made good decisions. Quite honestly, I was shocked to see his success playing football at GT and in the NFL. Deserves all his success.
Again, me & shivas....
Dang 4-putt, that's scary!
