LPN AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Violet Fouts Clifford, 91, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at National Health Care, in North Augusta, SC. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park with The Very Reverend Robert D. Fain officiating. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and the DAR. Mrs. Clifford graduated from Tubman High School; she went back to LPN school in her 40's and retired from Eisenhower Hospital Allergy Clinic at Ft. Gordon. Mrs. Clifford was preceded in death by her husband, Connie M. Clifford and by her brother, Fred Fouts. Survivors include: sons, Allen Clifford (Patsy), of Tampa, FL, Kenneth Clifford (Jana), of Augusta; daughters, Kathy Mackie (Mike), of McLean, VA, Connie Clifford, of Augusta; and sister, Doris McSparran, of Midland, TX; Family friend, Faye Ruffin; Grandchildren, David Mackie, Katie Mackie, Kyle Clifford, Sean Clifford, Austin Clifford, Brandi Green and Holly Corral; Great grandchildren, Megan Clifford and Tanner Corral. The family would like to thank the staff at NHC in North Augusta for the care and attention that was given to Mrs. Clifford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 1899 Central Ave. Augusta, GA 30904 or to the Hospice of America at 4314 Belair/Frontage Rd., Augusta, GA 30909.
