AUGUSTA, Ga. - Jacquelyn Rae Thackara Dundon, 87 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 16, 2008. Affectionately known by her family and friends as "Jackie". A memorial service will be held 3 PM Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Cliffwood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charlie Rector officiating. Interment will be private. Mrs. Dundon has been a member of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church since 1962, where she was actively involved in various ministries of the church until her health declined. She was active in the Women in Church group and taught Sunday School. Jackie was a member of the South Augusta Women's Club. Mrs. Dundon's family remarks "Mom loved the Lord, her family and her country with all her heart". Survivors include two daughters; Suzanne M. Dundon and Sara Rae Dundon both of Augusta; three grandchildren; Chris Huntington, Jennifer Leigh Burns, Amanda Rae Hayden; five great-grandchildren; Christopher, Jason, Justin, Evelynn and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband John Albert Dundon, and son, Joseph Thackara Dundon. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 PM at the Dundon residence, 2413 Ridge Road, Augusta, following the memorial service on Thursday.
