Kenneth R. Kimberly (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Kenneth R. Kimberly, Jr., of Winter St., entered into rest Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at his residence. Memorial services will be held Friday, November 21, 2008 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Mr. Dan Hollingsworth officiating. Mr. Kimberly was born in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Kenneth Reynolds Kimberly, Sr. and Elizabeth Stallings Kimberly. He was retired from the Medical College of Georgia after twenty-five years of service and for the past five years with Mednet. Mr. Kimberly was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, Jack C. Fortune Post # 205, I.P.T.A.Y. and a former member of the Jackson, SC Jaycees. Survivors include: his son and daughter in law, Kenneth, III and Brandy Kimberly of Augusta; Kenneth, III's mom and step-dad, Jan and Mike Baggett of North Augusta; two sisters, Karol Grace of North Augusta, Kay Kimberly of San Diego, Calif. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, Ga. 30909. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1606 Winter Street, after the service at 6 p.m. Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, 2502 Richmond Hill Rd., Augusta, Ga. 30906.
