AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Ella Lee Chandler, 87 years of age, bid goodbye to this world on November 16, 2008 at Azalea Woods Nursing Facility, Aiken, S.C. Mrs. Chandler, who resided at 276 Whispering Pines Terrace, Aiken, was married to the late Benny Chandler for 57 years before his death in January 2000. Mrs. Chandler is survived by her son, Albert L. Chandler, Augusta; grandsons, Jerry Chandler, Charlotte, N.C. and Jermal Chandler, Oak Park, Ill.; brother, Albert Williams and sister-in-law, Mary Williams, Trenton, S.C.; great-grandson, Julien Chandler; and great- granddaughter, Kendall Chandler; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mrs. Chandler was a lifelong member of Shaws Creek Baptist Church, Trenton, where she served faithfully as a member of the church choir and trustee wife. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Shaws Creek Baptist Church, Trenton, with the Reverend Martin Ryans officiating and the Reverend R.C. Holloway, the Eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 1 to 6 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, November 22, 2008 one hour prior to the service.
