THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Helen E. Walker, widow of Mr. Arthur Walker, died Sunday, November 16, 2008, in the Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, in the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Walker was a native of Bynum, Alabama, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Jackie Rogers, Mary Murphy, and Jane Walker all of Thomson, and Charlotte Walker, Augusta; a son, Randy Walker, Thomson; three brothers, Harlan Erwin and Joe Erwin, both of Birmingham, Al., and Robert Erwin, Woodstock, Ga.; a sister, Frances Mowery, Birmingham, Al.; and five Grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris Wallace, Donnie Hadden, Adam Dye, Travis Hadden, Jeff Hicks, and Talmadge Kicklighter. Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Jackie Rogers, Guill St., or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
