JACKSON, S.C. - Graveside Services for Mr. Harry R. Smith, 80, of Second Street, Jackson, SC, who entered into rest November 16, 2008, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Mauney Cemetery, Stanley, NC. Mr. Smith was a native of Stanley, NC, having made Jackson his home for the past 60 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson and the Hopewell Masonic Lodge #127 AFM. Mr. Smith was a US Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post #97, a Life Member of AmVets Post#70 and retired from the Maintenance Department of Kimberly-Clark. He was the father of the late Larry C. Smith and Terry C. Smith and grandfather of the late Terrie Key and Carson Smith, II. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Estel Dale Smith; two daughters & sons-in-laws, Linda & Ernie Hill, Fernandina Beach, Fl., and Pam & Ruel Waltz, North Augusta; a brother, Forest F. Smith, Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren, Todd Key, Steven Smith, Brandon Waltz, Lindsey Waltz, Courtney Waltz, Rodney Eubanks & Reed Eubanks; four great grandchildren.
