Even though we knew Sylvia Cooper was winding down her incredible career, her last Sunday column brought sadness and regret.
I hope she knows how much this community loves her, and how she stands out among her peers in Augusta journalism as one of the best, ever.
Thank you for your efforts, Sylvia.
The beat will be reassigned, but the reporter will never be replaced!

Sylvia, What a loss! The best part of the Chronicle has faded away. Thanks for your sense of community pride and especially your humor.
Sylvia's column was always my favorite. Her perspective and writing was always worth savoring. I hope she contributes occasional pieces in the future.

Sylvia will be missed. She has proven to be one of the best reporters ever on the AC staff to uncovr and expose corruption in local government as well as the stupidity of some of the local politicians like Marion Williams. Enjoyed working with you on the CSB story that put Robin Williams and others in jail.
Sylvia...your column was most informative with the cutting edge that I thoroughly enjoyed! Take care you will be missed
I didn't think they could replace Margaret Twiggs when she left us. Sylvia picked up the load, and then some. I hope AC has someone in the wings. I'll miss you, Silvia.
