RIDGE SPRING, S.C. - Mr. Danny Jay Tilson, 41, of Ridge Spring, SC, husband of Violet Roccia Tilson and son of Samuel and Brenda Sue Leaphart Moore, died Thursday, November 13th, 2008. Born in Augusta, GA, he had been a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life before relocating to Thomson, GA, seven years ago. He was a Marine Mechanic with Hillbilly Marina and was a member of Eureka Baptist Church. He was a very simple man and enjoyed the simple things in life. Danny loved the outdoors, dancing and singing. Additional family members include children, Danielle Tilson, Monetta, SC, Lacey Busbee, Aiken, SC, and Amanda Busbee, Aiken, SC; siblings, Sherry Coursey, (Bobby) Ridge Spring, SC and Melanie Fulmer, (Chris) Aiken, SC; granddaughter, Cassie Tilson and several nieces and nephews, who thought the sun rose and set on uncle Danny. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 17th, 2008, at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Brother John Arthur officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC. Pallbearers will be Chris Fulmer, Bobby Spears, Thomas Ricard, Charles Mitchell, Beau Murrell, and Dennis Bailey. The family has asked that if so desired, memorials in memory of Danny be made to Eureka Baptist Church or the S.P.C.A.
