BATH, S.C. - Mr. Dick Oleman Hillman, 87, of Bath, SC, beloved husband of the late Ruby Lee Hillman and son of the late Eugene and Maggie Redd Hillman, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 12th, 2008. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a retired Millwright with Kimberly Clark and along with his wife Ruby Lee, owned and operated Hillman's Grocery in Johnstown for over fifty years. He was a lifetime member of Horse Creek Valley Masonic Lodge #174 and was a member of Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene. A World War II Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corp. Additional family members include a son, Mike Hillman, (Bev) Aiken, SC; daughter, Sharon Fields, (Doug) Dickson, TN and a grandson, Brad Fields, Nashville, TN and his many friends, family, and special caregivers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15th, 2008 at 2 o'clock at Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene, Clearwater, SC, with Pastor Brent Van Hook and Pastor John Faircloth officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be James Abear, Alton Abear, Adrian Weaver, Lloyd Heath, Wendell Hughes, and Doug Hudock. If so desired, memorials in memory of Mr. Hillman may be made to Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 645 Clearwater, SC 29822. Friends may call at the family residence.
