TRENTON, S.C. - Mr. Willie Merriweather, 84, entered into rest November 7, 2008 at Trinity Mission Rehab & Nursing of Edgefield. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, No- vember 15, 2008 at Poplar Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Merriweather, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church, where he served on the deacons ministry and male chorus ministry. Survivors include a daughter, Minister Thelma Ann Merriweather Washington, Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sons, Ronnie Merriweather and Craig Merriweather, Brooklyn, N.Y.; step daughter, Beverly Willis, Augusta, Ga.; step son, Jeffery Jones, Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Roberta (George, Sr.) Buggs, Edgefield, S.C., and Anna Belle (Gonzalee) Mosley, Jamaica, N.Y.; Goddaughter, Brittany Robinson; Godson, Izell Dobey, Jr.; sister- in-law, Allean Merriweather, Jamaica, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Lafayette Lanham, St. Albans, N.Y.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
