CANTON, Ga. - Bobbie Jo Cantrell, 69, of Canton, GA, entered into rest on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at the South Canton Funeral Home and Chapel, 3147 Marietta Highway, on Saturday, No- vember 15, 2008 at 11a.m., Pastors Mike Ware and Jim Buckman officiating. Interment will follow in Sixes Cemetery. Bobbie Jo is survived by her husband of 44 years, Fred Cantrell; in addition to her husband she is survived by one son and daughter-in law, Joel and Rebecca Cantrell; and one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Derek Brock; and five grandchildren, Matthew, and Jacob Cantrell, and Lauren, Ethan, and Levi Brock. Also surviving Bobbie Jo are her brothers, Jerry (Joan) Hilhouse of Canton, Ga., and Ned (Dorinda) Hillhouse of Jasper, Ga.; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Hillhouse of Canton, Brenda Lathem, Jackie (Clifford) Ragsdale, and Geraldine Kelly of Canton; and brother-in-law, Lewie (Claudette) Cantrell of Canton, Ga. Preceding Bobbie Jo in death were her parents, Warner and Florine Hillhouse and her brother, Harold Hillhouse. Born in Sixes Community in Cherokee County, Ga., Bobbie Jo was a graduate of Cherokee High School (Class of 1958). She was retired clerk of Hillhouse Grocery in Sixes Community in Canton, Ga, where she had assisted her father since youth. Bobbie Jo was a life-long member of Sixes United Methodist Church of Canton, Ga. Bobbie's love for her family and grandchildren was limitless. Her patience and strength during her years were an inspiration to others. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, watching the ocean, playing bingo, or playing with kids. Her family honors her and rejoices in her life and legacy as a Christian. The family will receive friends all day until 9:00 p.m. Friday and until the funeral hour on Saturday.
