Comments from our readers.

RAVES TO ERIKE at the Kroger on Columbia Road. I left my pocketbook in a buggy and he found it, turned it in and later waited on me at the check-out. Thank you, Erike.

BARACK OBAMA plans to push a new stimulus package as soon as he gets into office. He's wasting no time in setting up the communist U.S.

A RANT ABOUT Clarence Thomas running for president and receiving only about six votes from black people. Just how long did it take you to travel to all 50 states and poll every black eligible voter in order for you to make such a broad and stupid statement? Or maybe you had some help from ACORN.

A BIG RAVE FOR the people who work at the driver's license center in Evans. They run that place like a well oiled machine.

RANT TO ALL Augustans making fun of our presidents. If you were anywhere else in the world you would be dead by now.

JUST RECEIVED MY power bill. The average temperature for October 2007 was 70 degrees. The average temperature for October 2008 was 62 degrees. Is that the way global warming works?

I HOPE THE BLACK community sees the new president as more than a victory (unlike Oprah and Spike Lee) but as an opportunity for your children.

A RAVE FOR the fellow customer at Bi-Lo on Furys Ferry Road who returned my pocketbook to customer service from a buggy in the parking lot.

IF YOU LIVE IN West Lake, please get out your drivers' handbook and see which lane is yours upon exiting West Lake and turning left on Furys Ferry.

HARD TO SEE HOW Barack Obama can find court justices who are more anti-Constitution, anti-freedom from the bench than five who already sit on the Supreme Court, but Obama will.
