AUGUSTA, Ga. - SFC (Ret.) Francis Edward Rinck, 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather entered into rest Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the VA Hospital. The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2008 with Father John Lyons officiating. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the Ceremonial Detachment of Fort Gordon. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons. SFC (Ret.) Rinck was born in Brooklyn, New York, but made Augusta his home since 1971. He served in the Army from February, 1957 until August, 1976, where he served two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 178 and VFW Post 649. He is survived by one son, Michael J. Rinck of Grovetown, Georgia; four daughters, Linda (Greg) Wise of Martinez, Georgia, Robin Johnson of Augusta, Georgia, Kristen (David) Hair of North Augusta, South Carolina, and Bonnie Rinck of Palm Bay, Florida; nine grandchildren, Eddie Wise, Christopher Rinck, Nick Johnson, Matt Wise, Michael Wise, Anna Clifton, Jenny Rinck, Heather Williams, and Laura Wise; two great grandchildren, Daniel Williams, III , Austin Williams; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Telfer Rinck and sister, Dolores Grady.
