Ann Beth Strelec has been named the president of the Junior League of Augusta for 2008-09. She has been a member of the Junior League since 1994 and has served as the chairwoman of various committees over the years.

As an educator in the Richmond County schools, she was named Teacher of the Year in 2001 at Westside High School.

In addition to her service with the Junior League, Ms. Strelec has volunteered with the Child Advocacy Center and Le Chat Noir theater.
