NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Thelma P. "Aunt Thelma" Allen, 97, of North Augusta, SC, wife of the late Ralph W. Allen and daughter of the late Joseph Charleston and Rosa Johnson Plunkett, died Sunday, November 2nd, 2008. Born in Jewell, GA, she had been an area resident most of her life. She retired from Seminole Mills after forty-five years of service as a Billing Clerk. A devout Christian, "Aunt Thelma" was a very active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Family members include a niece, Janice Banks, Warrenville, SC; nephew, Wayne Plunkett, Aiken, SC. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, whom she loved and adored and who loved and adored her. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 5th, 2008, at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Louis Swanson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Wayne Plunkett, Richard Abney, Roger Abney, Ted Cannady, Larry Abney, and Darren Plunkett. The family has asked that memorials be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, c/o the cemetery fund. Friends may call at the home of Janice Banks.
