'Shame' screening
The Aiken International Club will hold its monthly meeting with a screening of the documentary Shame , not rated, at 7 p.m. Wednesday at in the Penland Building, Room 106, at the University of South Carolina Aiken, 471 University Parkway, Aiken.

Historic oratory
The Town and Country Club will meet Thursday at the Etherredge Center at the University of South Carolina Aiken, 471 University Parkway, Aiken. A social will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting at 10 a.m.
The speaker, Bob Rollins, will perform famous speeches of past presidents.

Quilts on display
A Quilt Show will be on display Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 30, at the Aiken County Historical Museum, 433 Newberry St. S.W., Aiken.
Museum hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and 2-5 p.m. Sunday. Museum admission is free.

Space program
The program To the Moon and Beyond will be featured at 7 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, Nov. 8, 15, 22 and 29, at the Dupont Planetarium at the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center at the University of South Carolina Aiken, 471 University Parkway, Aiken.
Tickets are $4.50 for adults, $3.50 for ages 62 and older and $2.50 for students through high school.

Unrivaled concert
Violinist Bobby Yang and His Unrivaled Players will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Cedar Creek Church, 3001 Banks Mill Road, Aiken.
Tickets are $20 and may be bought at the Aiken Center for the Arts, 122 Laurens St. S.W., Aiken. Seating is limited. The concert will benefit the Aiken Youth Orchestras, a program of the Aiken center.

Honoring youths
The Augusta Chronicle is accepting nominations for Community Counts Youth of the Month.
This award recognizes students of good academic standing who possess special talents in the arts, athletics or other areas. Youths who volunteer in their school, church or community also are worthy of nomination.
The child selected as Youth of the Month will be highlighted in an article in The Augusta Chronicle . A banquet will be held next summer to honor all 12 recipients of the award and their family members.
Nominees must be ages 8 to 18 and residents of the Aiken-Augusta area at the time of entry. Nomination forms are available online at augustachronicle.com/communitycounts.
