Vera C. McGahee (THOMSON, Ga.)

THOMSON, Ga. - Miss Vera C. McGahee, 90 of Jackson Street, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in the University Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 1, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny McClure officiating. Burial will be in the Iron Hill Christian Advent Church Cemetery. Miss McGahee was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County. She was retired as an Office Administrator for a Neuro Surgical Firm. She was a member of the Iron Hill Christian Advent Church. She was a former member of the Board of the McDuffie Regional Center Foundation. Survivors include her brother, Nelson M. McGahee, Huntsville, Al; her nephew, Nelson S. McGahee, Columbus, Ga; her niece, Dr. Katherine Louise McGahee, Huntsville, Al; two great nephews, William Seth Perkins and Christopher Ray Perkins; and a great-great- nephew, Grover Perkins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University Hospital or the McDuffie Regional Center Foundation. Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home.
