Charles Van Tritt (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Charles Van Tritt age 64 of 1503 Santa Rosa Drive Augusta, Ga., was called to be with the Lord peacefully at home on Oct. 28, 2008. Charles was brought into this world on Dec. 29, 1943 in Shelby, NC. He was the son of the late C. L. Tritt and Margaret Virginia Greene Tritt and former resident of Fort Mill, SC. Charles loved his family especially his grandchildren. His church, Victory Baptist Church, was a source of spiritual inspiration. He enjoyed visiting local nursing homes on a weekly bases giving of himself to others. He loved the Lord greatly and shared his message whenever possible. He died knowing where he would spend eternity giving his family and friends a joyous and peaceful heart that he is rejoicing with his Heavenly father. Charles was survived by his wife of 34 years, Joan Brown Tritt. He leaves behind 3 daughters, 2 sons, and one son-in-law, Tammie Barnard, Charity Rhodes, Tommy Tritt, Joy Tritt, Josh Tritt, and Byron Barnard. He also leaves 8 grandchildren: Montana, Alex, Andrew, Mckinsey, Mckinley, Bryson, Blayze, and Cheyenne. His only living sister Brenda Hensley.
