SWAINSBORO, Ga. - Evelyn Hodges Layton, age 93, died on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Funeral services are Wednesday, October 29th at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
