AUGUSTA, Ga. - Deacon Sammie Lee Bynes, Sr., of 2123 Eastland Dr., entered into rest Thursday, October 23, 2008. Survivors include two sons, Sammie (Chandra) Bynes, Jr., Martinez, Ga. and Eddie (Chastady) Bynes; five daughters, Gloria (Karl) Samuels, Vivian (Derrick) Smith, Jeanette Bynes, LaTasha Bynes, and Joyce Walker; mother-in-law, Ollie Mae Palmer (Windermere Nursing Home), all of Augusta, Ga.; eight grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Friendly Church of God in Christ, located on 1115 Carrie St., Augusta, Ga., at 1p.m. with Superintendent Pastor Leroy James officiating. Interment will be held in Westover Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation held Tuesday, October 28, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Dent's Funeral Home. The Historic Dent's Undertaking Establishment serving the CSRA since the 1800's.
