EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mrs. Myrtice Thigpen Dye, 81, of Rainsford Rd., wife of the late Raymond Dye, died Sunday, October 26, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Dye was born in Gibson, Ga. and was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include four daughters, Sarah (Chic) Morris, Betty (Harry) Miller, both of Edgefield, Opal (Charles) Chalker, Swainsboro, Ga., Joyce Nabors, Greenwood; two sons, Ralph (Cathy) Byrd, Graniteville, Roger (Ann) Dye, Forsythe, Ga.; one sister, Leslie Guy, Evans, Ga.; 19 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Sweetwater Baptist Church Building Fund, 198 Sweetwater Rd., North Augusta, S.C. 29860. Pallbearers will be David Miller, Cliff Hensley, Ryan Collins, Ben Rocker, Jamie Byrd, John Martin.
