ATLANTA --- Plan on casting a ballot this week? Join the crowd. Election officials say they expect large numbers of voters during advance voting week, which begins Monday and runs through Friday.
As many as 12,000 voters might descend on Richmond County's three advance voting polling places, said Lynn Bailey, the executive director of the Richmond County Board of Elections.
That's on top of almost 15,000 ballots cast in the county during the early and absentee voting period, which began Sept. 22 and ended Friday.
