'President Palin' is chilling idea

  • Follow Letters

I see a lot of McCain-Palin signs around town. Here's a question for these people: Are you OK with the odds that Sarah Palin may become president?

Even if John McCain were a healthy 60-year-old, that chance cannot be ignored.

The report of the "Troopergate" investigation revealed an executive with a fixation on dealing with a fellow citizen as an enemy. Do we want another president with an enemies list? The report concludes that the action was a violation of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act, not the kind of ethics we need in our president.

She has been judged by a number of respected Republican pundits as utterly unqualified to be president, which of course is the No. 1 issue for a vice president.

Particularly now, with a Depression-era-type financial crisis, two ongoing wars and looming trouble with Russia, this is no time to have an unqualified person in the White House. The idea of her as commander-in-chief is chilling.

Those who are not comfortable with the idea of a President Palin should not vote for McCain. He rolled the dice on choosing her, thinking of his chances to win the presidency rather than the best interests of the country. The proper response is to send them packing.

Victor, do you have the

Victor, do you have the Democrat party's dislike for women of power, or are you just falling for the "crush a Repub" news story that runs on all Dem news stations? Obama had the chance to choose a strong female as his veep, but was too intimidated. McCain chose a strong, competent conservative to complement his middle of the road, moderate stance. Don't hate her because she's beautiful. Vote for the black man with the "change" veep. LOL Victor. We see who you are.

I would much rather take the

I would much rather take the "chance" of a Palin Presidency than the certainty of an Obama Presidency if he is elected. I would rather a "Troopergate" than an "Ayersgate" or a "Michellegate" or a "Wrightgate" where we know that Obama's friends who have mentored and helped him along the way hate the very country he aspires to run.

Victor, Thank you for creating the next McCain ad: "Particularly now, with a Depression-era-type financial crisis, two ongoing wars and looming trouble with Russia, this is no time to have an unqualified person in the White House." Do not wake up November 5th to the words: President Obama!

Troopergate?? Try this

Troopergate?? Try this scenario: AC Headline: *** "DEPUTY HITS 11 YEAR OLD CHILD WITH TASER" *** Richmod county deputy J. Jackson fired a taser hitting eleven year old F. Handy. Jackson later told investigators that he did it because the child "needed to learn a lesson". Records indicate that Sheriff Ronald Strength knew of past instances of brutality by Jackson but ignored his record and chose to keep him on the police force." ............Now tell me; who do we string up first, Jackson or Strength? We expect people with authority to use that authority to remove a person from public service when they know that the person is a danger to the public or otherwise unfit for public service. Palin was only doing the job she was elected to do.

Obama's failure to select

Obama's failure to select Hillary Clinton as VP was his loss. Instead he got Joe the Bumbler as his running mate. So, Victor who the heck are you to question my choice to vote for John McCain with Sarah Palin as his VP? Should she become President I'm totally comfortable with that choice. I could easily question your obvious choice of a Marxist-Socialist ... but I didn't. Place your one vote and keep your opinions to yourself. Thank you and have a NICE day!

Not to worry Victor, when

Not to worry Victor, when little Sarah is V.P and "in charge of the U.S. Senate" she will be giving those people tasks to perform on a daily basis. In her words she only needs to "shake them up and get them doing things right". I guess she thinks she will be able to tell them how bills are going to be voted on and she expects to fire themif they don't perform the way she says. I have no doubt she is sincere in what she says, after all she is in the words of Johnny Mac "the only quailified Executive in the running", and has made many of those type decisions in her long and splendid career in politics. All we need now is for the current investigation, looking at her involvemment in abuse of power, to be concluded. Bottom line is don't worry about her ability to be commander in chief, She is already the Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard and obviously has her own NSA/CIA to keep constant tabs on Russia and China who she can see across the Bearing straits. Man just think what an assett she would be if she only had a Navy and Air Force and some Marines. Given all the above, you should be ashamed of yourself for not showing absolute faith in our little Sarah!!!

If Palin wants to be

If Palin wants to be President, then by all means let her try. She certainly activates the GOP base, which is a shrinking entity anyway. There are less of these religious Christian fundamentalists around to support a Palin candidacy. So let her run anytime & anyplace. Once she starts to let people know about her ideology and positions, she will be very lucky to get 25% of the vote.

this is very disturbing, the reps can't see past their own selfish, hatred way of thinking. if this woman were to become president, the country would end up in worse shape than it is now, after 8 years of george bush raping the economy. the woman does not know what she is doing. just because she can see Russia from Alaska does not make her qualified to fun this country. Thank God the Democrats are going to win the presidency, and gain members in both houses.

NEWS HEADLINES TODAY: Bidding

NEWS HEADLINES TODAY: Bidding Process for Palin's Pipeline Was Flawed.
Gov. Sarah Palin's signature accomplishment - a contract to build a 1,715-mile pipeline to bring natural gas from Alaska to the Lower 48 - emerged from a flawed bidding process, an Associated Press investigation shows.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27374946/from/ET/ Just the beginning of yet another Palin scandal. Makes me wonder who is really running the show in Alaska? Certainly not Palin herself. I believe she is just a figurehead who is incapable of being truthful.

Let's be sure to give the

Let's be sure to give the dims the control of our great country. Look at what a good job the state of IL is doing with the dims in charge. More deaths, alone in Chicago than in Iraq, teachers pension fund $44billion in debt alone, the state $64billion in debt, roads are terrible, high taxes and the school system one of the worst. All this with dims in control of the state and fighing amongst themselves while no one will take the blame for this disaster/disgrace. Remember NObama is the US senator from IL and has done nothing for them. What do you think he is going to do for the country? NOTHING!!!

Fruit Flies are ridiculous to study to a person who is suppose to be an expert on special needs children. How many times must this uninformed woman be given a pass from the right wing. That was a blunder beyond belief.
