HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Elizabeth 'Betty' Croke Moore, 76, wife of the late Richard W. Moore, Sr., entered into rest October 24, 2008 at Westwood Nursing Facility, Evans, Ga. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM, Monday, October 27, 2008, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Thomson, Ga., with Father Edward O'Conner celebrant. Interment will follow in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Moore, a native of Ireland, was a devoted mother of 6 and a loving Nana of 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was an active member of Queen of Angels Parish. She was a former member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society, a Sacristan, a teacher of religious education, a former substitute teacher and a faithful advocate for the Rights of the Unborn. Survivors include one son, Richard W. Moore, Jr., (Debbie), Grovetown; five daughters, Maureen (Timmy) Gay, Harlem, Teresa (Gary) Law, Appling, Debra Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Pamela Moore of Harlem and Brandis Ansley, Hampton; two sisters, Mae Sinnott and Margo Alexander both of England. Pallbearers will be Ryan Shannon, Andrew Gay, Alex Lazenby, Gary John Law, Travis Shannon and James Hart. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Queen of Angels Catholic Church Building Fund, 1326 Washington Road, Thomson, GA 30824. Friends may call at the residence of her daughter Maureen Gay, 1436 Pine Needle Dr. Harlem, Ga.
