AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Thomas Edgar, 59, husband of Mrs. Ruth Edgar of Nixon Rd., entered into rest Thursday, October 23, 2008, at his residence. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. with the Reverend Dr. Tobin Burnett officiating. Mr. Edgar, a native Augustan, a son of the late Roy and Dorothy Johnson Edgar. He was a carpenter with Meybohm Construction and a saved Christian. Survivors in addition to his wife include his son and daughter- in-law, Bobby and Amanda Edgar, daughters, Barbara Jackson, Patricia Gregory, Natasha Edgar and Crystal Edgar; a son-in-law, T.J. Gregory; four brothers, five sisters; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends this Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
