WILMINGTON, Del. - Sarah M. Clary died Friday October 17 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was born in Wilcox County, Georgia on January 18, 1914, to William T. and Sarah Shook Miller. She graduated from Berry College in 1937 and returned to south Georgia to teach. In 1943, she married George Clary, Jr., a Methodist minister. They served churches in Byronville, Dublin, Warner Robbins, Sandersville, Garden City, Avondale Estates, Augusta and Waycross. While in Augusta, Sarah taught 1st and 2nd grades in North Augusta, S.C. She is survived by her son, George III and his wife, Margaret of Chipping Norton, UK; her daughter, Dian and her husband, Alfred Urbano of Wilmington, Del.; and her son, Edwin; her grandson, Dixon Ulmer of Woodstock, Maryland was the light of her life and she loved being "G. G. Mama" to her great- grands, Christopher, Ally, and Julia. Sarah was a woman known for her strength and wisdom and her love of the Lord. She will be greatly missed by many. The funeral will be at Goshen United Methodist Church, Rincon, GA on Monday, October 27 at 11 a.m. with a visitation at 10:30 a.m. at the church. There will also be a memorial service at Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church, Wilmington, Del., on November 1, at 2 p.m. Interment: Goshen UMC Cemetery.
