AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Higgins, of Branch Street, entered into rest Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Beulah Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. She was a native of Wrightsville, Ga.; a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Card & Craft Ministry, B. I. Vernon Club, Matron Circle, the Senior Choir for over 60 years, Senior Mission and the Business and Professional Women Ministry. Survivors are two daughters, Lavonnia H. Taylor, Joan (Jasper) Stringer, Columbus, Ga.; one son, Marvin (Hattie) Higgins, Augusta; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
