Daisy E. Thornton (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Daisy E. Thornton entered into rest on Monday, October 20, 2008 at Doctors Hospital. Daisy was a personal care owner for 19 years, secretary and administrative assistance for SandBar Ferry Elementary School, Paine College, Fort Gordon and Belle Terrace Presbyterian Church. Those left to cherish fond loving memories are: her children, Darryl Milligan, Sr., Charleston, SC., Carol Thornton, Stone Mountain, GA., Carl Thornton, Jr., Martinez, GA., Alicia Canaday, Hephzibah, GA., Adriene Thornton, Eagan, MN.; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Craft, Stone Mountain, GA., Roberta Banks, Tuskegee, AL.; sisters- in-law, Carol Dean Bradshaw, Newark, NJ., Elizabeth Stinson; Nashville, TN., Jayne Stinson, Lithonia, GA.; brother-in-law, John Banks, Sr., Tuskegee, AL.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, October 25, 2008, at Belle Terrace Presbyterian Church, 2454 Golden Camp Road, with Pastor Melvin Lowry officiating. Interment: Mt.
