MILLEN, Ga. - Walter Olliff Moore, Sr., age 79, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008. He was born in Candler County, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War where he was a Prisoner of War. Mr. Moore had retired from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and was a member of the Millen Baptist Church. Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Millen Cemetery with Rev. Maurice Crowder officiating. Survivors include his wife of fifty five years, Jackie Miller Moore; a son, Olliff Moore, Jr.; two granddaughters, Nikki Moore and Tara Moore; a great granddaughter, Kaidence Moore all of Millen; two brothers, Paul Moore of Statesboro and Carl Brack of Carrolton; and a special friend, Elly Moates.
