What was John McCain thinking? What kind of people are advising him?
Sarah Palin gave birth just four months ago. She now has five children! Children still at home.
She has a job. Her present job is more important than being vice president. It's called "Mother."

Not at all! That's what this letter is saying, not me...We women can multi-task just as well as anyone! In fact, I prefer to be doing, like, 10 things at once all the time...I'm one that can't sit still long at all without getting up and doing...something, and sometimes, it's ANYthing...just to keep busy. I seldom can sit through a whole movie so I don't bother watching many. But no, I wasn't saying that with my comment above. Quite the opposite.

How many jobs has Obama had?
This letter tells us a lot about the self-image of the author. It tells us nothing about the abilities of Sarah Palin.
Sondra, Your father had five kids, why did he work? Why did he go to night school? Don't worry about Sarah Palin - she will do just fine. She has a lot of help. Todd is man enough to help out while Sarah halps save this nation - that's a pretty important job too. Is staying at home the only thing a woman is allowed to do? Where would Israel be without Deborah or Golda Meir? Sarah knows her priorities and will work it all out - why are you so worried about her? Or could it be you had another agenda in mind?
Am I mistaken or is there a mental facility named after the Gillespie's in Augusta? If this letter is from the family of a physician things are much worse than I had thought. Will old ideas never die?
Obama has never had a job that required leadership or executive skills or experience. He's always worked for government agencies or socialist entities. Palin is a mother, governor, ex-councilman, ex-mayor, ex-business owner, as well as working in the broadcast field after college. Since she was never groomed to be the next Marxist leader she shouldn't be considered prepared.
McCain's VP pick was a example of politics at its worst. How can any intellegent person agree that she is qualified for high office? He picked her to attrack Hillary voters, that he thought would not vote for Obama. He was wrong. It was stupid to overlook Dr. Rice (with impeccable credentials) and choose a shallow govenor, except that the race factor confused him. Palin is not only not ready for VP, McCain is especially not ready for CINC.

Justus4, Can you name one qualification that Barack Obama possesses that makes him more qualified to be President than Sarah Palin (let alone John McCain)? Thought so.

At leaset Palin is well-dressed. Seems like the RNC went out and bout her $150K worth of clothes. Talk about being out of touch with common folks. Oh, seems like they bought it with campaign contributions which is illegal. She makes Dan Quayle look qualified.

The hateful leftwingnut media made Quayle look unqualified but he made fewer verbal blunders than Biden. (That's right, there is someone on the Dem ticket by that name.) Biden his highlited his ignorance on numerous occasions without one word of criticism from the liberal hate-filled media.
The letter is off base. There are numerous reasons why Palin shouldn't be VP. Motherhood is not one of them.
Just read the polls patricithomas. She's sinking like a rock. You still have Rush and Hannity to hold you tight, and whisper how it's all just a bad dream. Maybe Rush can give you something to help relax.
shivas is right. Her negatives have skyrocketed. In fact, her negatives are higher than her positives, and an AP investigation has found that taxpayers of the Last Frontier picked up the tab for the Palins' personal trips.

Though I am a Conservative and almost always vote Republican and LOVE Sarah Palin...I somewhat agree with this letter. I have always advised women who have recently given birth to stay at home with their children for as long as possible. My wife stayed at home with ours until our youngest was in 1st grade and I really think that's what everybody should do. Again..I love Palin and will certainly always vote for her everytime I see her name on a ballot, but I would be a hypocrite if I didn't say that I belive she should be at home with her little one.
Many men think women should be home tending the stove and children and Republican men are some of them. It seems some are willing to vote Marxist instead of taking a chance on giving a woman the VP job. I disagree with them just like I do the "genius squad". patricia, if your comment was directed at me...I didn't say nor do I believe women should be "home tending the stove and children"...well at least not forever. I do believe that in the early fromative years before the child is in school that the best thing for both the child and mother is for her to be with her babies. Not quite the same thing in my mind.
Possibly one of the stupidest letters to the editor I have ever read.
If Sen. Obama is elected and serves one full term, it will be the longest full time job he's ever continuously held. Compare Sen. McCain to Obama, Palin's not running for POTUS.
And please tell us why NObama is qualified to be POTUS and Sarah isn't qualified to be the VP. Dims say NObama is so brilliant and he chose NObiden the 35yr senator who has been wrong many times and is a human gaffe machine. NObama and the angry meechelle, my belle who never loved their country and their 'friends' that prove it. If your a marxist or socialist NObama will love you. Be VERY careful what you wish for.
