Thunders Dove wins Belmont's Vivano Stakes

NEW YORK - Thunders Dove stretched her winning streak to four, finishing 8¼ lengths ahead of Boca Grande in the $77,450 Vivano Stakes for fillies and mares Sunday at Belmont Park.

The 4-year-old chestnut trained by Nick Zito and ridden by Stewart Elliott surged immediately to the front and blew the race open with a 6-length lead turning for home. The time was 1:22.71 for the seven furlongs on the fast track as Thunders Dove improved her record to 6-for-11.

Thunders Dove, the 9-5 favorite, paid $5.70, $3.10 and $2.70. Boca Grande, the trailer in the nine-horse field for opening half mile, returned $3.30 and $2.80. Drama Lady paid $10.80 to show.
