Wayne C. Moffett (NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.)

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Wayne Clifton Moffett, 79, of North Augusta, husband of the late June Ouzts Moffett, died Saturday, October 18, 2008 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.. Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Moffett was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt. and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. He was a retired Army veteran having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was also a retired manager with the Federal Pacific Electric Company. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Moffett, Maine, Jenny Whitaker, North Augusta; two sons, Wayne (Butch) Moffett, Maine, Alan Moffett, Augusta; two granddaughters, Miranda Whitaker and Cali Whitaker; one great-granddaughter, Leila Adeline Whitaker; three sisters-in-law, Mary (Tom) Korrek, Lucille Padgett and Bill, Edna Ouzts; one brother-in-law, Earl Ouzts, Jr. The family is at the home of Mary Korrek on Meeting St. Rd. in Edgefield and will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service on Wednesday.
