HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Leonard "Lynn" C. Tyner, Jr., 46 entered into rest Friday, October 17, 2008 at Select Specialty Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Whispering Pines Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Turner and Rev. Albert Stroup officiating. Pallbearers will be Lamar Clements, Roy Michael James, Lonnie Sutton, Greg Durrence, Sammy Tolbert, and Jamie Tolbert. Honorary pallbearers will be Whispering Pines Men's Ministery and Augusta Richmond County Recreation Department coaches and players whose lives he touched during his tenure. Burial will follow in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Lynn was a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church. Mr. Tyner was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Vandiver Tyner. Survivors include his wife, Gwinnette Tyner of Hephzibah, sons, Joshua Tyner, Matthew Tyner, and Daniel Tyner, all of Hephzibah, mother, Darnelle Tyner of Hephzibah, brother, Dean Tyner of Augusta, sister, Kibbie Slade of Lexington, SC, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, and a nephew. Memorials may be made to Elliott Sons Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
