AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at his residence, Mr. Calloway Allen, 85, of Cherry Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. from Moses Missionary Baptist Church, 112 Walker Street with Reverend Willie A. Green officiating. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park. Mr. Allen was a native of Burke County, Georgia and a Dupont Corporation retiree. He was a member of Moses Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors are a loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Sophia M. Allen; one daughter, Janice Allen (Joe) Jackson, Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Miles and Carolina Jackson, Charlotte, NC; one sister, Ivory Lou Burke, Pittsburg, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
