AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Thomas Williams, Sr., 84, husband of the late Daisy M. Williams, of the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home entered into rest Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the V.A. Medical Facility, DD. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Sheffie Rouse officiating. He was a native of Columbia County, Ga., and a World War II Army Veteran. Survivors are three sons, Eugene Williams, Albert Williams, both of Augusta and Earl Williams, Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Anita Williams, Elmira Williams, both of Augusta and Bessie Williams Cunningham; grandchildren, Maria Elise Cunningham, Cincinnati, Ohio, Shelby Williams, Morgan Williams, Atlanta; cousins, Ralph and Barbara Ann Jones, Augusta; Lena Mae Brown, Connecticut; devoted friends, Katherine Samuels, Washington, D.C., Rev. John Myers, Augusta; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
