MILLEN, Ga. - Mr. Thomas Gerald Smith, 67, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born October 18, 1940 in Screven County and a retired truck driver. He was a Christian and member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Archer officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Wiggins Smith; a daughter, Lynde S. (Lee) Johnson; a son, Thomas Allen (Teresa) Smith all of Millen; a sister, Latrelle Alderman of Thomasville; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Active Pallbearers will be Deacons of Oak Hill Baptist Church and Honorary Pallbearers will be the Millen Make a Difference group.
