"Spreading the wealth around" is going to leave EVERYONE feeling like, "why bother?". Then we'll have masses of unemployed to "spread" that wealth to. NOT a good thing.

The last time the Republicans had so much interest in plumbers, they were breaking into the Watergate Hotel and Democratic Headquarters. On abc, "Joe" said that he wants to BUY a business for $250,000-$280,000, not that he would make that much in profits."Joe" should actually pay less taxes under Obama's plan.When talking to "Joe", this is the actual Obama quote. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody. If you've got a plumbing business, you're gonna be better off if you're gonna be better off if you've got a whole bunch of customers who can afford to hire you, and right now everybody's so pinched that business is bad for everybody and I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." The quote in question wasn't about what the Reps are trying to say it is. But they're good at taking things out of context aren't they?

Here is the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Columbia County is run by Republicans and Richmond County is run by Democrats. Richmond County is going broke and Columbia County is prospering. Republican or Democrat - your choice.

Obama's tax plan: First, let the Bush tax cuts expire - this is a TAX INCREASE! Second - increase taxes on "the wealthy" (subject to Obama's definition) - this is a TAX INCREASE. Third - increase taxes on small businesses and corporations - this is a TAX INCREASE on EVERBODY! When taxes go up for business, they pass the tax on to YOU as the price of doing business AND by using less EMPLOYEES to do the job. Obama & Biden, "I have three letters for you: J - O - B - S!" That's what we will lose if you win. Along with HIGHER TAXES and loss of JOBS Obama/Biden will throw in the Freedom of Choice Act that will remove ALL abortion restrictions (including partial birth abortion), appoint liberal activist judges, increase government spending, appoint liberals to every post of government (Ayers, Dohrn in the Dept. of Education), walk away from Israel, run away from Iraq (even as we are winning), and meet with dictators with no preconditions. What a package deal!

Robert Wurzelbacher is Charles Keating's son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. Charles Keating is a close personal friend of John McCain. He is the Keating of the "Keating 5" involved in the S&L scandal of the 1980s. Barack Obama's economic plan is anathema to these fleece artists because raising their taxes from 36% to 39% if they make over $250,000 means they will have to give back some of their ill-gotten gains. To Barack Obama's credit he patiently & politely engaged with Joe Wurzelbacher for 5 minutes and tried to explain why his economic plan is right. Joe Wurzelbacher is about as much of a "game changer" as the choice of Sarah Palin or McCain's failure in the presidential debates. The McCain campaign is going down the toilet.

It seems to me the only ones who are bothered by people like Joe or any American who believes in our form of present government are people who are loyal worshiping subjects of Obama and his Socialist views... Isn't is strange, these same folks, will support quite vehemently the folks who make up the basketball, football, rap stars, "Revs", Senators(only if of Democratic leanings), oh let us not forget the Hollywood crowd...These people make millions upon millions but it seems they are to be exempt from Obama's share the wealth socialist mantra...You who follow him now will not be allowed within 100 miles of his social circle...You will get a few of the leavings but in time it won't even be enough to support yourselves without government throwing a few more crumbs your way...Try to understand people this character Obama cares for no one but his own warped sense of Kingship...

What's wrong Copperhead? Do you think you deserve more than you get? If so, try gearing your life to work for what you want instead of expecting someone to give it to you. You want to help the downtrodden? Start a business and employ them. That is what the rich do. If they didn't then they wouldn't have the money they have and neither would their workers. People start businesses to MAKE money. Ever heard the expression - In business to make money? Why are we losing jobs to companies overseas? Simple - businesses in the US are subject to the second highest taxes in the world. Rome increased taxes on the wealthy also and "spread the wealth" (they did have the first organized welfare system) and those increases contributed to their demise.

This is not about race, Republican or Democrat, but is about who will come out on top in this deadly game of power and greed...If you people think you matter let me just clue you in on what seems to be a secret...You don't matter one whit people...Your just a means to an end...

All this from a man of such high character that he has been quoted as saying "[filtered word] the American soldier" and "it's healthy for teens to have an active sex life." His ranting is typical class envy. "if they make over $250,000 means they will have to give back some of their ill-gotten gains." He assumes that if they are successful, it MUST be ill gotten. Typical Marxist. No wonder he fled from the military that was fighting to keep America from being more like him.

If Obamas' plan was implemented it would encourage people to stop working as hard to succeed. Most companies who hire other people, make well over $250,000. So Obama's plan will cause all companies to either leave the US or be really small businesses. Niether of which are good for our country. Where is the incentive? There is none. That is how socialism works. No more American Dream, where we all have the chance to be as successful, as we are willing to work for.

This editorial ignores the fact that Obama is black. That settles it. His policies are irrelevant, it's all about color.

I'd like to thank Cain for pointing out an obvious 'plant' in the crowd who has gotten waaay too much attention. But now we know why he was there, and why he asked the question. Obviously to stir the pot about Obama's plan to tax the wealthy...yes I said wealthy. And it's not wealth envy, it's about fair taxation. Why should anyone who makes more than the average 'Joe' have loopholes they can bury any tax revenue into while the working poor have to cough up with each check somewhere in the neighborhood of a third of their income to pay for corporate greed? Isn't it amazing that the main stream media could find out so much about Joe the Plumber in ONE night and yet after two years or so of Obama's campaign they are still not that interested in Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, William Ayers, or Bernadine Dohrn? Joe the plumber is a plumber - you don't have to be licensed if you work for a licensed plumber, as Joe does. He plans to buy a plumbing business and does not want to "spread his wealth" to those who would prefer to stay home and take it easy.

The only explanation, that Dems are still supporting Obama is, IMO, they really just want to hurt the country. To strike back at the country for them being losers. They will cut off their nose to spite their face. They want us all to feel what they feel, the emptiness, of unfulfilled dreams. The anger and jealousy of someone else actually having a successful life and they have not. Obama will help make others poorer, like them. Somehow in a sick way that makes them feel better. The rest are just Zombies, who have no other intellectual reason to vote for him, other than they think he is BLACK. And Obama is counting on them, because they are DUMB.

The American people have seen what repubs. have given us for 8 years. Obama leads in every poll as being more trustworthy to handle the economic crisis. The right-wing is a complete failure.

Most plumbing companies have unlicensed people working under one license that usually the owner has. Same goes with electrical and homebuilders. Don't know about Ohio's requirements but in this area all work performed is not done by licensed people but looked over licensed people

Goof, the type of business is irrellevant. Obama will be bad for All businesses. And as businesses close or become smaller, Obama will have to drop down to the lower income makers, to get the taxes he needs to pay for all the socialist programs. Maybe when people become 60 and no longer work, they must go turn themselves in to the gov't, so they can be made into food for the masses.
