DEARING, Ga. - Retired Master Sergeant Edgar P. Hendrick, Jr., 94, husband of beloved Dorothy Wyatt Hendrick, entered into rest Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 11:00AM in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel, Grovetown with full Military Honors at the interment. Mr. Hendrick was a native of Brownstown, West Virginia and resided in Dearing. He was an Army veteran of WW II receiving the Bronze Star, WW II Victory Medal, Army of Japan Occupation and the Bronze Arrowhead (Normandy Beachhead) American Defense Award. He retired in 1960 after 22 years of military service. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy W. Hendrick; four daughters, Peggy (Weldon) Robins, Dearing, Judy (Les) Layman, Trenton, SC, Nancy (Larry) Robinette, Harlem and Linda Overbeck of Martinez; two sons, Edgar (Margie) Hendrick and Michael (Carol) Hendrick both of Dearing; sister, Elizabeth Welms and one brother, Carl Hendrick of W VA. Mr. Hendrick is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Roger L. Hendrick and Rebecca (Becky) Fernekes.
