An Obama victory scares the dickens out of me

  • Follow Letters

If we are to believe the "polls" our current presidential election is over. The Democrats (that should read Socialists)Âhave won, and we should expect "change" immediately.

We have no real idea what form the "change" will take, but we know this "change" will cost us trillions of dollars.

This "change" is articulated by an individual who worked to load the voter rolls in Chicago through his association with ACORN, where he was their "legal" counselor and educator. The same individual who, as a U.S. senator, lobbied for billions of dollars in "earmarked" spending, all the while decrying the same "earmark" practices used by his cronies to load legislation with untold billions of dollars worth of wasteful spending.

Forgetting all of Mr. Obama's failings would be foolish, but, for the moment let's do that. Instead, let's examine the manner in which we have treated our present president.

He was vilified before he won his first term in office, and he's been vilified ever since. First we were told that he "stole" the election; no matter how many times the votes were counted and no matter how many decisions were handed down by numerous courts across the nation, he still "stole" the election.

Since taking office, his federal appointments have been blocked, his policies criticized, his military actions first cheered then called foolish and dangerous. Mr. Bush has fought Osama bin Laden, al-Qaida, Democrats, and the nation's media.

How he's held his head up is amazing.

No, Democrats don't deserve "congratulations." They deserve all the scorn we can muster.

If Mr. Obama does win this election, it will be with the assistance of fraudulent votes by ACORN-sponsored voters and voters who can't articulate any of the "changes" he's insisting we need.

Unfortunately the "great unwashed" and uneducated control our destiny.

That scares the dickens out of me.

Unlike democrats in Hollywood

Unlike democrats in Hollywood who threaten to leave the US if their candidate does not get elected and then STAYS when they don't, I haven't heard of a single republican that has threatened to do the same if Obama gets elected. My thoughts are that republicans are more than willing to stay in the country they love and work with democrats. Democrats (especially the Hollywood 'we know better than you cuz we are rich' democrats) are willing to lie to try and get their way. (Partial facts about those promising to move out of the country otherwise, just my opinion).

It has nothing to do with

It has nothing to do with race, hate or anything else. Obama's views are as close to socalism as it gets. His policy changes will leave us with change all right because no middle class hard working person will have a dollar bill left to use. For those of you who want change, remember Jimmy Carter and see what change he brought us. Look at our state of the economy 2 years ago prior to a decomratic congress when gas was less that $2.00, unemployment was less that 5%, etc. Those who want McCain, want to make a living without being on the government payrolls. Those who want Obama either want more programs given to them by the government or believe that people can not be self supportative and need the government to take care of them. Either way, in the end, you will loose when voting for socalism.

isn't it strange, every morning we have 2 or 3 negative letters about obama and none for mccain?here he complains about earmarks, they all get them, it's called politics.your representatives go to washington and send back as much federal money to their states as they can.some are better at it than others, that's life.bush did steal both elections.when in our history has a former sec of state(baker)went behind closed doors with the supreme court justices and have them come out and stop all recounts, giving the election to w?remember diebold? when ohioans voted for kerry and bush's name lit up? of course not! you were watching hannity that night.several of the diebold people resigned thinking it might be investigated, with who at a/g rogue gonzales?he has fought binladen?when will he charge him for the 911 crime and place it on his fbi most wanted poster, writer?your president is a recovering alcoholic bum who will be noted as the worst president ever.that pretty well explains his 21% approval rating now.the worst of any president even nixon before he resigned!hannity won't tell you that though.

The steadfast effort of

The steadfast effort of conservatives will again survive another world wide effort to destroy capitalism and liberty in America. The socialist effort is strong and well financed, but luckily the greed of congress is difficult to manipulate. Even if America is foolish enough to elect Obama, we'll survive the four years of his reign. Of course, he's not elected yet and I'm not convinced most voters are stupid enough to vote for him...we'll see soon enough.

Freddie how about Bush sky

Freddie how about Bush sky rocketing our national debt by $4,300,000,000,000 in his two miserable terms? And you said above about Obama, "We have no real idea what form the "change" will take, but we know this "change" will cost us trillions of dollars." Trillions have been lost in individual 401K savings accounts in the past few days, so I look forward to "change."

Wow, do you Dems really

Wow, do you Dems really understand that If Obama wins, He will go down as the WORST, MOST INCOMPITENT SOCIALIST blunder that EVER stole an election, while supposedly being the first Grey man elected as POTUS. Worse than JIMMINY CARTER. WOW. Well, thanks should go to OPRAH, and J,Wright, and Louie Farrakhan, William Ayres, don't forget ACORN, and all their illegal voters. and the seriously uninformed and uneducated, yourself. But you(Dems) will get full credit and blame, for having helped bring total chaos and loss of the greatness of our country. It's all about you Isn't it? Cut off your nose to spite your face. This will be an end to the Democratic Party, you from this election on, will be known as the "SOCIALIST for change no matter what the cost Party."

If all the blind, and deaf

If all the blind, and deaf would stop for a second and actually consider what party has controlled Congress they just might understand that the DEMS have led us into the biggest financial mess since the "Depresion". But, hey let's put a DEM in office of the highest official in our land so there will be absolutely no check on these spendthrifts of our hard earned, (less each day with DEMS in office), dollars.

You Dems who never said

You Dems who never said anything about the VULGAR, disgusting, mouth of Jerimiah Wright , IN a CHURCH. IN A CHURCH, to talk like he did, and where are the outraged Black voters, the Real Christians, where is your PUBLIC admonishment?HHMMMMMMMM? There is NONE, and from that silence I infer that you are all like-minded to Jerry, and do NOT LOVE this country, and where is your doubt of Obama, who stayed there for twenty years, never hearing this vulgar hatred for OUR country. DO you believe that? He tried to stand by this guy as long as he could, until he knew it would hurt him politically. What about leaving the first time you hear some crap like that, if you are a credible good person, with integrity and good judgement in your heart. Is that the kind of talk you have behind closed church doors? If there are any God loving and fearing christians left, on the left, stand up and do the right thing. Vote for the country, NOT for history.

Judging from the venom and hatred unleashed by recent audience comments at McCain and Palin rallies, and some of the above comments, I would definitely dispute the " "great unwashed" and uneducated" comment describing those who may vote for Obama. I think the Republican party has done a great job of stirring up the "uneducated" and to the best of my recollection, the last 8 years were mostly Republican controlled-- until people came to their senses and stop believing all the lies and distortions.

PATRICIATHOMAS you crack me

PATRICIATHOMAS you crack me up. You think the GOP ISNT "well-financed?" HAHAHAHA. On to MARANDAN - you folks LOVE to bring up Jeremiah Wright, but what to make of TODD PALIN, member of the Alaskan Independence Party that wants to SECEDE from the U.S., or of THOMAS MUTHEE, Palin's witch-doctor/minister who, by definition IS a domestic terrorist, himself? As for Wright. ALLLLLLLL the money your precious G.O.P. has thrown into investigating whether Obama was even PRESENT for any of Wright's scurilous sermons has turned up NO EVIDENCE Obama was there TO get up and leave. But PALIN was present when her minister unleashed an anti-semetic sermon to she and her fellow church-goers. As for ACORN, we're talking about a "hundreds" of oddities for an organization that registered HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS nationwide; and why do you ASSUME all A.C.O.R.N. registered-voters will vote for Obama?

If Obama is elected it will

If Obama is elected it will be because of the help and assistance from the stupid right-wing. People like Hannity and Rush who make such ignorant statements that the right-wing actually believes is comical.. Most rational people understand that Rush and Hannity only say these outlandish things to get ratings, while others write letters such as this, and show-up at politcal rallies calling Obama "A-rab, terrorist, kill him, off with his head." This representation of the right-wing is the death nail for McCain, who is a good man, and actually despises the right-wing, himself. how ironic, it will be his undoing.

Obama on abortion: "The first thing I'd do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act." This act would remove ALL restrictions on abortion. No parental notice, no waiting, no bans on partial birth abortion, and no laws to give aid to those babies who survive abortion (Obama calls them fetuses). Vote your conscience on Novemebr 4th.

Snakes scare me. I don't see

Snakes scare me. I don't see that as a fitting LTE, however. It took this congress more than 2 weeks to pass a bail out bill that the president, the speaker of the house and anyone else who was asked said was urgent and had to be done immediately. Senator Obama does one thing really well. He talks pretty. Sometimes with no regard for truth. So, while he's visiting all those foreign countries, talking real pretty about how the rest of us idiots in America don't speak at least 2 languages, apologizing to dictators who already hate us for not giving in to their demands, and explaining away what he said to the last group of folks who talked real pretty to, congress will do what congress does.

Yawn....A totally silly and

Yawn....A totally silly and illogical LTE...I'm going to ignore the vast majority of this silly LTE and just talk about the ACORN issue, being that this now seem like the way McCain supporters are focusing on using as a REASON to say they lost...ACORN was given $800,00 by Sen. Obama's campaign during the democratic primary to help with voter registration. ACORN has completed a successful nonpartisan voter registration drive in U.S. history (1.3 new registrations). They went to young, low income, and prodominantly minority areas..How did they get people to register??? ACORN hires people and pays them; to get peole registered, and with all industries there will be a small percentage of people who want to get paid without doing their job..They were the ones who went to cemeteries picking names..A very small few it was, but it was ACORN who discovered the bad forms and brought them to the atention of election officials...Example: ACORN worker fills out a bogus form with "George A. Custer" on it..Nov. 4th George A. Custer shows up to the poll. Sally poll worker checks the rolls and George A. Custer ain't on it...George A. Custer goes back to the graveyard and lays back down w/o voting.

con't: The point I'm making

con't: The point I'm making is the fraud issue was undertaken by a idiotic ACORN worker, who probably was being paid minimum wage to get people registered...This idiot wil get in trouble, but more importantly they didn't take into consideration that the majority of people associate the link with the DEMS...Personal gain, no large conspiracy...I find it sad most people don't take the time to consider voter fraud is going on on the REPUB side too...All of it is fruitless and it only serves to get the people rilled up....Point is my fellow americans, don't worry we all will be told who won Nov. 4th and ACORN will not have anything to do with it...

And you're not afraid of a

And you're not afraid of a McCain-Palin victory? I know that McCain feels betrayed by Palin because she evidently lied to him about troopergate. I don't think he would have named her as VP had he known the truth because when all else is said and done, I do believe he is an honorable man. However, people can be influenced in the present sense by people they hold dear. (ie. his wife who probably wants to win at any cost and palin who is really in over her head). Women are sometimes very aggresive and will tend to set aside their moral compass to achieve what they want. That is not sexist. They are just the victims, who sometimes are reactionary because of past restraints that have been placed on them in terms of their ambitions. LOL I think McCain is a moral and just man - I hope he has the determination not to be changed by the Rush's and Hamnity of this world. God Bless America because these are tough times for everyone, almost. LOL
