AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Willie Mathis Freeman, of 15th Street, entered into rest Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronald Wright officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. He was a native of Richmond County, Ga., a U.S. Marine Veteran, and a member of Good Shephard Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Ruth Freeman, Augusta; one son, Larry Freeman; stepson, Lindsey Kimble, both of Augusta; sister, Barbara (Rev. Leonard) Hasting, Augusta; one brother, Matthew (Janice) Freeman, Savannah, Ga.; adopted sister, Carla Scott, Augusta; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; godmother, Annie Marie Hanson, Augusta; a host of other relatives and friends.
