Vote for Obama is vote for pagan nation

  • Follow Letters

So Kathleen Parker does not like the answers Sarah Palin gave to Katie Couric. Her having to deal with "got'ya" type questions? We thought she did just fine.

Our extended family will all be voting for Sarah Palin. The difference in Sarah Palin and Democrats is that she has morals and values.

She also believes in the values of life in the mother's womb. Barack Obama has voted 100 percent of the time for the murder of helpless babies in the mothers' womb, and gives it an innocent sounding word like a "woman's right to choose".

Since 1973 50 million babies have been killed in the mothers' womb; only 2 percent of these were done because of rape or incest. If Barack Obama is elected president, then we will know that America has become a pagan nation.

No, it means we have a Constitution in the United States, which guides it's rulers, not a Bible, which belongs in the churches. Do you want the Supreme Court deciding how we should interpret the Bible? Most Protestant preachers can't even get it right.......

DrGunby68

Wed-gie, Wed-gie, Wed-gie, Wed-gie, Wed-gie, !!! Let it rest. Women, the one's who should make the decision about this issue, don't want McSame and definitely don't want slick sally p. This will rally your usual cabal of theocrats. Good for you...NOT!!

SisterAbdullahX_

DrGunby, there is no one named McSame running for president. Your ignorance is showing again.

I disagree Dr and it's the one of the things I find deplorable about the Democratic Party. Obama says he is a christian but is for the killing of innocent babies. You are either a christian all of the time or none of the time. This isn't about a porn shop or drinking beer on Sunday. This is about the murder of innocent children. I would have more respect for the man if he stood up and said he was against abortion and, though he is a member of the Democratic party, didn't agree 100% with all their ideals. That certainly would go a long way in my eyes.

GACopperhead

Folks, there are a lot of debatable issues here that can be argued. I agree that abortion is morally wrong, but so is lying and philandering which are McCain's trademarks. I suggest that the best way to combat abortion is with education and alternatives, which Republicans and the Fundamentalist Right won't do. Being that it has been judged constitutional, I can only argue against it in religious terms, which are moot constitutionally. I hope that more research will be done that eventually gives us grounds to argue this point scientifically, at which point we can prove it unconstitutional. Until then, pray, act with love and offer viable alternatives to women who will need them. Religion must stay out of the debate, or we WILL end up with the Supreme Court ruling on interpretation of the Bible, at which point I would physically rebel against this country and any church that sanctions it.

You give too much credit to Mr. Obama if you think he can turn the nation into a pagan nation. You have very little faith in your fellow Americans if you think they would allow that. Shame on you. You seem to be a one issue person. You would actually vote for an air-head (SNL) who might potentially become president based on one issue. You need to rethink that. We'll see if you still feel that way after Thursday's debate. People tend to think for themselves, fear tatics will not work this time. The economy is in the tank and its time for some fresh ideas.
Mr. Obama talks about change and I guess we can give McCain credit for aleast trying to ditto that message. McCain might not be as slow as he looks.

GACopperhead

Yes, I'm afraid he is, it was only 8 days ago that he was saying "the fundamentals of the economy are strong".

jsterett

Voting for B.Ho will not make the nation any more pagan than it already is but it will move it in the direction of being more socialistic. Paganism alredy controls the left coast, Socialism controls the East coast and organized crime controls the Great Lakes Cities so there's not a whole lot remaining of the once-Christian USA.

jsterett

"If Barack Obama is elected president, then we will know that America has become a pagan nation.

Freddy J. Johnson"............................

......
We had solid proof of that reality when slime-ball Willie was elected to a second term.

disssman

Hey, what is going on with the rumor I heard, that little John is replacing Sarah with the LADY from SNL? The girl from SNL may be prettier, but she sure isn't smarter than little Sarah!!! So would they quit the antics and get on with the show, my popcorn is getting cold!!!

GACopperhead.....so the Bible doesn't guide us, eh? Interesting to know that this country was founded on Christian principles, by men who believed in divine providence to guide them in establishing independence, so much so that the words "In God We Trust" is printed on all coins and bills that YOU use on a daily basis. I challenge you to toss them aside as you do the relevance of the Bible to government. I must ask, if the Bible doesn't ultimately govern what is right or wrong, what does?

devilishlymad67

democratics: a group that believe in murdering innocents (abortion) while against murdering criminals (death penalty).

GACopperhead

jsterett, McCain had ab afair, and used his influence, I suspect, to help his wife receive a slap on the hand for stealing drugs and getting false prescriptions. These are facts. You cannot compare the morality of one philanderer over another.

jsterett

Jack, we've alread seen what our "fellow Americans" can do. The majority are mind-numbed robots that thrive on Ophra, Springer and SNL and are incapable of recognizing the truth when they hear it.

Martinez

I didn't realize this nation could be categorized as one specific religion. Silly me, I thought the constitution protected everyone's freedom of religion, not just Southern Bible Thumping Christians. Whether Pagan, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim or yes even Athiest.... We are a diverse nation with diverse beliefs. Choice doesn't mean you must have an abortion. In fact, if you isolate yourself based on religion, you may never even know someone who has had one. Point being, I don't want my government deciding my Choices. Choices meaning everything from religion, abortion, marital rights etc.

GACopperhead

Wylds, actually I heard obama say during an interview that his personal views on abortion differed from the Dem platform, and will search for a link that confirms this.

shivas

What's wrong with a pagan nation? Maybe you would prefer a Jewish nation or Muslim nation?

GACopperhead

Here is his clarification on late term, though not what I'm looking for.

"...I have repeatedly said that I think it's entirely appropriate for states to restrict or even prohibit late-term abortions as long as there is a strict, well-defined exception for the health of the mother. Now, I don't think that "mental distress" qualifies as the health of the mother. I think it has to be a serious physical issue that arises in pregnancy, where there are real, significant problems to the mother carrying that child to term. Otherwise, as long as there is such a medical exception in place, I think we can prohibit late-term abortions."

jsterett

Copperhead, don't be a bonehead. I don't care what you suspect. If there was any such dirt on McCain it would be smeared all over the major new networks. B.Ho has a whole fleet of backhoes digging for anything that will hurt McCain/Palin and the fact that it isn't front-page is a good indication that it has no credibility.

patriciathomas

Kill a baby for Obama, it's so Democratic. Choosing life is so racist and unconstitutional.

GACopperhead

Here is a direct quote from Palin's ABC interview:
"My personal opinion is that abortion [should be] allowed if the life of the mother is endangered. Please understand me on this. I do understand McCain's position on this. I do understand others who are very passionate about this issue who have a differing opinion," she said.

GACopperhead

why do you ignore his philandering and bring up Clinton's?

patriciathomas

Here's a quote from Obama. "Her opinion is typical for white people".

GACopperhead

In God We Trust is the official national motto of the United States and the U.S. state of Florida. The motto first appeared on a United States coin in 1864, but In God We Trust did not become the official U.S. national motto until after the passage of an Act of Congress in 1956 Obviously not on the founding fathers' minds, I''d say

GACopperhead

I will challenge, one more time for ANYONE to prove that this country was founded on CHRISTIAN principles. Find ONE mention of Christ or even a Christian god in the Declaration or Constitution....it's not there. There is Nature, Nature's God and Creator. so they were Deists, not Christians as far as their mentioning in the respective documents.

GACopperhead

The fact is that Christian Fundamentalists want to FORCE their opinions and "ideas" of morality on everyone else. This to me is no different than the Islamists who hit us on 9/11.

GACopperhead

So, by her own statement, Palin is PRO-CHOICE,another fact about the hypocrisy of Republicans.

GACopperhead

Hard to argue against the facts.

patriciathomas

And Palin is obviously a female, how hypocritical of the Republicans.

GACopperhead

I also suggest to you that a fact is that many of our founders were Masons, which is a heretical secret society.
