GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Mr. Earnest "Peabody" Moore, 74, of 11 Moore-O'Connor Rd., Graniteville, S.C., departed this life on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center. Mr. Moore was the son of the late Marion and Bessie Moore, Sr. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 1 p.m. from the Evening Light Church of God, Graniteville, S.C., with the Rev. David Matthews, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bath, S.C. Mr. Moore attended Martha Schofield High School and was employed for over 20 years at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home as a Funeral Director Assistant. Survivors include: his wife, Barbara J. Moore, Graniteville, S.C.; three daughters, Gail (Bernard) Freeman, North Augusta, S.C., Gwendolyn (Wayne) Quattlebaum, Wagener, S.C., and Phyllis (Jerry) Adams, Langley, S.C.; two sisters, Frances Moore and Dorothy Ballard, both of Graniteville, S.C.; one brother, James Moore, Graniteville, S.C.; nine grandchildren; nine great grands. Friends may call at the residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home beginning at 3 p.m. Monday. The remains will lie in state at the church Tuesday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
