THANK YOU TO the kind gentleman who helped my mother in the parking lot at Belk's in North Augusta. She had lost her cell phone and was looking in her car frantically when the young man came to help her look for her phone. He found it way under the seat where my mother could not see or feel it. She is in her 70s and it is a good feeling that there are still good people out there willing to help someone in need. Thank you.
A RAVE FOR Redcliffe Elementary parenting workshops. (They are) a very good and informative opportunity to spend time with teachers to see what is going on in their classes and how we can help our children improve, and an opportunity for parents to share ideas of what works for their kids. A rant to the parents who didn't show up, because most of the parents that showed up have kids who are already doing well in school. Wonder why?
NEWS THAT South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster was invoking a law targeting gas gougers was met with dismay from members of the fuel industry. They should start with a station in North Augusta. His stations vary by 50 cents per gallon depending on location in the city. They have lost a lifetime customer and a friend over this. I hope he is the first to be charged.
CAN ANYONE explain the legality of the city of New Ellenton posting "city limits" signs on White Pond Road? This is an ongoing spectacle with these people. Now they are claiming a clearly marked state road out of their city as theirs. They just do what they want and no one from the legal community tries to stop them. They annexed Three Runs Plantation, which is six miles from their city limits which clearly is against the state annex laws. (Must be no buffer? How about six miles)! Help, somebody, anybody?
Thank you for sharing University Hospital with those of us in Aiken who need safe and honest medical care.
